Web Forms
Web forms can be very beneficial. Whether it is an order form, a product inquiry, a communication request, a customer service request, a customer support request, field data entry, customer data entry, or a request for order status, shipping status, or account status they can be extremely helpful.
The ability for anyone to communicate their information, their needs or view important time sensitive information from anywhere in the world at any time is an important capability for any company to offer and accommodate. The use of Web Forms has opened the door for many companies to satisfy many of their internal and customer needs through one standardized method.
A Web Form is an initially standardized form format that has the ability to be programmatically controlled to vary the required information by circumstance, vary the form by user, vary the information displayed by user or profile and then use the information to enter data, validate information entered, request action or display information based on the information entered on the form and many more options.
The information that is entered on the form can be placed into a database, used to create a transaction, request another form, passed to an application, communicated (Email, Fax etc.), processed or simply displayed back to the user.
Web Forms simply offer programmatically controlled form entry and processing over the Web.
